My passion in art was sparked as a child. I would spend all
of my time drawing and painting, quite often it would be
my Dads vinyl record covers. After leaving school I went
on to study at the Arts University Bournemouth. First
gaining a National Diploma, then a Bachelor of Arts
Honours Degree in Fine Art. After a period spent teaching
Art, I was fortunate enough to be offered a tattoo
apprenticeship and have not looked back since. I feel
incredibly privileged to continue working in such a
creative field.
My work is predominately colour, covering a variety of
styles. From small 3-D images, to larger organic flora and
fauna inspired pieces, and I do love an animal portrait. For
me it’s all in the eyes, capturing the essence of a wild
animal or a beloved pet. It’s so rewarding. That being said,
I love the depth and contrast created using grey shade and
black imagery, especially in large, darker pieces with
Gothic influences. My absolute passion though is
watercolour. I love this technique, seeing the layers grow,
free handing splashes and drips of vibrant colours. It really
is my happy place.
For me one of the best parts of my job are the people. I
love the journey, from their initial consultation to them
becoming part of the furniture and catching up with what’s
going on in their world. I love my ever growing client
collection! Xx

HB is the owner of Dr Feelgoods and has been here since
1992, first working on the desk and then progressing onto
tattooing.
She specialises in cover-ups, bio-mechanical, neo
traditional, Celtic, Japanese, fantasy (especially Fairies),
floral pieces and henna inspired designs also a favourite.
She excels at revamping original artwork, which may not
have aged as well as you’d hoped.
She will discuss your ideas with you and work through the
design process at your side. Bespoke designs to suit the
individual!
